What Is Bison Moon Megaways?

Bison Moon Megaways is an online slot game provided by Northernlights, featuring 6 reels and dynamic ways to win. The main aim is to spin the reels, land matching symbol combinations, and receive payouts accordingly. Winning combinations are highlighted on the reels, and payouts are awarded based on the game’s paytable and rules.

How Do the Megaways and Ways to Win Work?

The game operates on a Megaways mechanic, where each spin can result in up to 117,649 ways to win. Ways are patterns of adjacent symbols that run from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel, only on adjacent reels. Each reel, including the Extra Reel, can display up to 7 symbols during a spin, creating varying numbers of winning combinations. The payout for any way win is multiplied by the bet multiplier, and only the highest winning combination per symbol set is paid. The total payout for a spin is the sum of all winning ways in that spin.

What Are the Betting Limits?

Bison Moon Megaways allows a minimum bet of £0.20 and a maximum bet of £4.00 per spin. The total bet placed encompasses all possible ways to win for that spin. The Paytable automatically adjusts to display prizes according to your selected bet.

What Is the Game’s Win Cap?

The game features a win cap of 10,000x the bet. Play ends once this win cap is reached, with only the capped amount awarded and any other potential wins forfeited. The win cap may be relevant in certain regulatory regions.

How Does the Extra Reel Function?

The Extra Reel sits above reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 and adds an additional symbol to each corresponding reel, increasing the number of potential ways to win on every spin.

How Do Wild Symbols Work?

Wild symbols substitute for most other symbols to help create winning combinations. They cannot substitute for Link&Win™, Scatter, Dynamite, or Special symbols. Wilds only appear on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5.

How Are Scatter Symbols Used?

Scatter symbols are only present in the base game. They cannot be substituted by Wilds and do not offer direct payouts. During the Rolling Reels™ feature, Scatters are not removed if they are present on the reels.

What Is the Rolling Reels™ Feature?

The Rolling Reels™ feature activates after any winning way is formed, both in the base game and Free Spins. When triggered, winning symbols are removed from the reels, and new symbols drop down to fill the gaps, potentially creating consecutive wins from a single spin. This continues until no new winning combinations appear. Scatter symbols remain in place during Rolling Reels™.

What Is the Bison Stampede and How Does It Work?

At random, the Bison Stampede feature may trigger at the start of a base game spin. When it does, a Stampede Bonus Wheel appears and spins to award one of four possible modifiers:

  • MAX WAYS: All reels spin with 117,649 Megaways™.
  • BISON WILDS: One randomly selected Low symbol on reels 2-5 is replaced with Wilds.
  • NO LOWS: No Low symbols land on the current spin.
  • WILD REELS: The Extra Reel is filled with Wilds for the spin.

This feature is available in the base game only.

How Does the Link&Win™ Feature Operate?

The Link&Win™ feature is triggered when 6 to 14 Link&Win™ symbols appear during a base game spin. All triggering symbols are locked in place and each reveals a cash prize. Red Link&Win™ symbols valued above 1.2x the bet become Blue Link&Win™ symbols.

At the start of Link&Win™, reels 1 and 6 are locked, and the remaining positions spin individually. Three respins are awarded, with only Special symbols landing on the Extra Reel. If any additional Link&Win™ symbols land, they too are held and respins are reset to three. Special symbols with unique effects can land:

  • Key Special symbol: Unlocks reel 1; landing another unlocks reel 6.
  • Collect Special symbol: Collects all cash values in its reel.
  • Multiplier Special symbol: Applies a random multiplier (x2, x3, x5, or x10) to all cash values in its reel.
  • MaxWays Special symbol: Sets the reels for maximum Megaways™ on that reel.

The feature ends when no respins remain or all symbol positions are filled. Link&Win™ symbols cannot be substituted by Wilds. This feature can only be triggered in the base game.

How Do Free Spins Work?

Landing 4, 5, or 6 Scatter symbols in the base game activates 10, 15, or 20 Free Spins, respectively. During Free Spins, a persistent multiplier increases by x1 with every win. A Dynamite symbol landing on the Extra Reel triggers one of five Free Spins modifiers in this order:

  • MULTIPLIER BOOST: Increases the current multiplier by 5.
  • MORE WAYS: Increases the minimum number of ways to win.
  • DOUBLE MULTIPLIER: Changes the multiplier increment from 1 to 2 per win.
  • BISON WILD: Turns a random Low symbol on reels 2-5 into a Wild for the remaining Free Spins.
  • EXTRA SPINS: Adds 5 extra Free Spins.

All Free Spins are played at the same bet as the triggering spin.

How Is Return to Player (RTP) Shown?
